Reeling in the plaudits
Scottish dance enthusiasts took a trip to Leeds to show off moves perfected in Kensington and Chelsea.
Around 25 members of LondonÂ?fs Scottish Country Dance Society travelled up north to display their skills on Saturday, July 12.
The demonstration team, based at Kensington and Chelsea College in Wornington Road, North Kensington,
wowed the audience with an Inverness reel.
Jigs were also order of the day.
"The festival was a mid-summer treat where dancing friends from all over the country
meet, dance and catch up with one another," said the society's vice chair Angela Young.
Dance classes are held around the borough including at Kensington and Chelsea College
in Wornington Road, North Kensington, and St ColumbaÂ?fs Church Hall in Pont Street,
Knightsbridge.
A free open-air dance will be held by the group at the Kensington Gardens bandstand
on August 20 and 30, from 2-4pm. See www.rscdslondon.org.uk
