Man dies in stair fall

A man in his 40s has died after falling down stairs in Brompton Square, Chelsea, on Saturday night.

The London Ambulance Service was called at 7.55pm following reports of someone being 'taken unwell', but on arrival found the body of a man - who has not been named by officials.

A Kensington and Chelsea police spokeswoman confirmed that the force is not treating the incident as suspicious.

It is believed the man broke his neck after falling down stairs while drunk.

His next of kin have been informed.
