Chelsea hospital is one of Britain's safest

A Chelsea hospital has been named as one of the safest in the country.

Chelsea and Westminster hospital, in Fulham Road, Chelsea, has one of the lowest mortality rates according to an independent report published today.

The Dr Foster Hospital Guide highlights 32 NHS trusts in England with a significantly lower than expected Hospital Standardised Mortality Ratios.

Chief executive of Chelsea and Westminster hospital NHS Foundation Trust Heather Lawrence said: "Staff throughout the hospital have worked hard to make Chelesa and Westminster one of the safest hospitals in the country."
