Shoppers at Waitrose in King's Road can help the Mayor of Kensington and Chelsea's official charity, the Multiple Sclerosis Trust.

It has been chosen for the store's Community Matters project, where customers use green tokens to decided how to divide £1,000 between three chosen good causes.

Mayor Joanna Gardner said: "Remember you can vote as often as you like all through April."

Kiss stars out in force

Stars of Kiss FM radio and the sporting world will be out in force at the Sainsbury's car park in Ladbroke Grove on Friday, April 17, from noon-5pm.

The community day features sporting activities and live music and is being held by the Westway Development Trust.

A performance of Cats proved an Easter success at a Chelsea centre for older people.

Around 30 enthusiastic audience members enjoyed an afternoon of poetry at New Horizons centre in Cadogan Street, Chelsea, on Thursday.

Council roadshow

Kensington and Chelsea Council's volunteering roadshow will arrive at its first stop on Wednesday, April 8.

Friendly farm animals will be the star attraction at an open day in Emslie Horniman's Pleasance Garden in Bosworth Road on Thursday, April 9.

The event is free and open from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm.
