A 30-year-old Ladbroke Grove resident has been charged with conspiracy to rob Graff jewellers in New Bond Street last month.

Gems worth £40million were stolen from the exlusive store in early August. It is thought to be Britain's biggest ever jewel heist.

Courtney Lawrence appeared with Gregory Jones, 29, of Eligin Avenue, Harrow, at Kingston Crown Court today.

He was remanded in custody until a plea and case management hearing, with five other defendants, is heard on October 23
