A TALK titled "Revolution and Evolution: exploring science and spirituality" was given by Daniel Scott, speaker, and practitioner of Christian Science healing, on Tuesday, November 24, at The Kensington Close Hotel, Wright's Lane, Kensington. This coincided with the 150th anniversary of the day Charles Darwin's book "Origin of the Species" was published.

There were many attendees eager to explore the nature of science and spirituality, to consider two of the biggest questions possible. "What is truth?" and "What is man?" and to discover how Biblical healing may not be miraculous after all.

During his talk Scott said, "Evolution does not remove the best evidence for God, because the design argument with its god-of-the-gaps was never really the best argument for God. The best evidence for God is Christian healing. Jesus always cited his works as confirmation of his mission"

After the talk Daniel Scott met and spoke with many members of the audience. This talk was sponsored by the First, Church of Christ, Scientist, Kensington for the community.

In one instance a man parked in a disabled bay said he was waiting for his father who was shopping. In fact the man's father, who held the blue disabled permit, had died two-and-half years previously. The council is deciding whether to prosecute the ineligible drivers found with disabled permits.
