Kensington and Chelsea College opens health & beauty centre
Kensington and Chelsea College in Ladbroke Grove has opened its refurbished Maxilla Walk Centre.
The new building, which was acquired earlier this year is home to a motorcycle maintenance workshop, multimedia rooms and a large, modern hair and beauty studio for students.
The November 11 launched coincided with Colleges Week - an open week - and saw guests from local youth and community programmes take advantage of free hair and beauty treatment provided by the students.
The college principal, Mike Jetsum said: "We're delighted to officially launch our new centre and support Colleges Week. It's a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the important role that colleges play in our communities."
