Christmas tree recycling in Kensington and Chelsea
Free Christmas tree recycling is on offer to residents of the Royal Borough this year.
Between 4 and 17 January, residents can recycle their Christmas trees by leaving them on pavement, next to the kerb, but only on their designated collection day.
The Christmas tree collection days, organised by Kensington and Chelsea Council, are different to those for normal waste and recyclables.
Alternatively, trees can be dropped off at the following collection points:
* Sainsburys - Ladbroke Grove
* West Row (at the junction of Southern Row)
* Little Wormwood Scrubs (just inside the gate opposite Bracewell Road)
* Kensington Memorial Park; Talbot Road (in front of the top of Colville Gardens)
* Silchester Road (Leisure centre car park on the left after the mini recycling centre)
* Homebase Warwick Road
* Holland Park Car Park
* Palace Gate at the junction with Kensington Gate (the area near the sculpture)
* Phillimore Walk (between Campden Hill Road and Hornton Street)
* Ifield Road (junction with Finborough Rd)
* Denyer Street Depot; Cremorne Gardens in Lots Road
* Pont Street at the junction of Cadogan Square
* Royal Avenue Junction with St Leonards Terrace (inside the park)
* The Boltons (south side of the church by the sweepers box).
Cllr Nicholas Paget-Brown, the council's cabinet member for the environment, said: "I want to encourage residents to do their bit for the environment and to recycle their trees.
"It's never been easier this Christmas with plenty of tree collection points across the borough."
Residents who want to know the Christmas tree collection day for their street and/or the locations of the various collection points can visit www.rbkc.gov.uk/christmastrees or contact Streetline on 020 7361 3001.
Last year, the council collected 60 tonnes of Christmas trees and this year hopes to improve on that figure.
