Letters to the Editor
From BORIS JOHNSON Mayor of London

WITH the new year come resolutions - get fit, go to the gym, take up cycling.

As a cyclist, I can vouch for its mental as well as physical benefits, but not everyone can or wants to get on a bike. Yet too many Londoners experience poor health, from obesity to heart disease and reduced life expectancy. With my adviser on health, Pam Chesters, I'm looking at how to reduce the factors that can contribute to poor health.

Our draft Health Inequalities Strategy is out now and there's still time to give feedback - the public consultation finishes on January 10. We want to hear from you. Go to www.london.gov.uk/mayor/ priorities/health/health-strategy.jsp for more details.

We'd like to hear from you.
