Two masked raiders targeted staff and customers in a Chelsea pub during a terrifying armed robbery.

At about 12.30am on Thursday (28), two men dressed in hoodies and wearing plastic masks went into the Anglesea Arms in Selwood Terrace with a gun.

Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg visited Chelsea and Westminster Hospital to talk to patients about plans to modernise the NHS.

He toured the hospital on Wednesday April 27 along with care services minister Paul Burstow, meeting staff and patients in the stroke unit and the new outpatients department.

Then they met more than 30 patients from across West London and Foundation Trust Governors, to discuss the government's plans to change healthcare.

An Iranian retailer on Kensington High Street has been fined by magistrates for selling caviar of an unknown source.

Zaman Ltd, operating as Zaman, was fined £2,000 at West London Magistrates Court on April 19 after admitting selling untraceable caviar.

The shop was also ordered to pay costs of £3,520 and a further £175 for the destruction of the food.

Colleagues have paid tribute to 'immensely likeable' Councillor Andrew Dalton, who died unexpectedly last week.

Mr Dalton was first elected to represent Queens Gate ward in the south of the borough in 1994, and was Mayor in 2007/8.

But on Easter Sunday (April 24), he passed away at home after a short illness - less than two weeks after another serving councillor, Dr Iain Hanham, died.

A youth scheme which supports 13 to 19 year-olds in Kensington and Chelsea has been shortlisted for four National Housing Federation Awards.

The Pathways 2 Progress Scheme (P2P) which is run by Kensington Housing Trust, helps young people find new interests, develop their talents and fulfil their potential, to steer them away from a life of crime and disorder.

A 21-year old from Kensington has been charged with two counts of criminal damage in connection with the student protests in central London on December 9.

A tea party fit for a queen was held at Chelsea British Red Cross shop to celebrate the marriage of Prince William to Kate Middleton.

Stylists were on hand to help visitors put together the perfect outfit for a wedding - or any other occasion - at the event on April 18.

And there were some bargains to be had at the shop where the bride herself has shopped a few times before, with clothes and accessories from countless designer names at charity shop prices.

A group of young mums enjoyed an exhibition of their work to mark the end of a photography training scheme.

Chelsea Methodist Church runs a number of programmes teaching young people skills and giving them knowledge they will need in the future.

One of those programmes is photography training for young mothers, and they had the chance to show off their work at Chelsea Library on Tuesday April 19.

Victory for Portobello traders

Traders in Portobello Market are celebrating after the council threw out plans to increase the opening hours of one of its biggest antiques arcades.

Warren Todd, owner of the Admiral Vernon arcade, had asked for a restriction that limited its opening hours to Friday and Saturday to be lifted.

But in a dramatic u-turn on Tuesday (19), despite officials recommending the plans be approved, the council's planning committee rejected them in front of a public gallery packed full of residents and traders, who met the decision with a cheer.
