Violence against women drop in at Kensington Town Hall

Posted by Camilla Horrox on Feb 13, 13 09:32 AM in News

TOMORROW, February 14, the Community Safety Team will be hosting Kensington and Chelsea Council's One Billion Rising drop in.

A council spokesman said: "The team will be giving out crime prevention advice, raising awareness about violence against women and girls, and hate crime. Please come along between 1pm - 4pm to Kensington Town Hall Customers service centre, where we will be giving out Personal attack alarms and other goodies. We hope you will join us.

"One in three women on the planet will be raped or beaten in her lifetime. On V-Day's 15th Anniversary, 14 February 2013, we are inviting one billion women and those who love them to walk out, dance, rise up and demand an end to this violence."

We'd like to hear from you.
