Oak bridge and built in benches unveiled at Meanwhile Gardens
A COMMUNITY-run park has a new look thanks to an oak bridge with built-in benches for visitors to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet.
The new bridge, opened on Tuesday last week, provides a link to a wildlife garden in Meanwhile Gardens, North Kensington, which is maintained by Kensington and Chelsea MIND; a charity providing support for people with long term mental health issues.
Made from recycled oak timbers, the bridge was designed by landscape architect Adam Thomas, and paid for by the Western Riverside Environmental Fund. The park also has a children's play hut, a paddling pool and a skatebowl.
